Nice trance ya gots

Well, again I'm not much of a fan of techno, dance and trance genres, But I enjoyed this song. You definetly seem to know what your doing.

Well, all the synths were trancey. The drums were fine, bit basic, but it is trance. The lead was good and arped nicely. Progression was fine, good breakdown. Only thing I could pull out I didn't like was the bass. It had a off tone to the song. Possible a off note, or just a a odd sound.

Keep up the good work man

Thanks a lot!

pretty good

Well, for you second song this is really good. Techno really isn't my thing, but I kind of liked this one.

The beginning was nice, starts off with just a bass, and builds up with drums. The drill was a good idea, but I think you should change it to a snare drill instead.

Get different drum samples, no mroe fl presets. Other then that pretty good. Keep at it =)

Hmm

It seems like there are a couple nice melodies withing the medley of a song, but the randomness sounds almost as if you hit all the notes without thinking about how it would sound.

It was pretty bare, nothing but piano, no chords or background instruments. I think you should pick one or two melodies thrown about in there, then elaborate on them. Add harmony notes, or maybe even some chords. If you want, also add in other instruments.

Keep working at it and you'll come out with something nice.

Thanks for your vote, SineRider! You voted 2 for Pianos (Unfinished), lowering its score from 2.44 to 2.40.

Alrighty, I'll work a bit more on my piano skills and make a track not just with pianos.

Hello Pedro

I see you have have a new name. Very interesting track you got here.

Nice bassline through the piece. Very diverse percussion. Also very interesting samples and use. The strings were a nice touch to the bass and guitar.

It progresses perfectly to keep you entertained through it. I liked the break down with the soothing synth part. Then it was brought in with a very nice drumline and bass and guitar. It continues on to a nice ending.

Great stuff man, keep up the good work

Great stuff

Its nice to see you making new songs again. Very nice tune you got here.

The beginning had me a bit confused. A very slow start, with simple guitar melodies. When the strumming came in it began to form a more solid structure.

The added addition of a cello and strings had a nice refreshing sound. It had a very nice build up. The drums kind of surprised me. Before listening to it, I didn't think there could be a fitting beat in there.

Great stuff man, I look forward to more

pitbulljones responds:

cheers man, it's been a long time coming this, wintang totally inspired me with his latest tune, so i just got cracking. this is my first track in 3 months, i haven't been near my gear til i made this. it is a simple tune but i fel it's very 'spiritual'. im glad u liked it anyways, when i get more time i'll be sure to bob over and review you.

awesome

Awesome stuff you got here. I could write out a big review, but I'm a bit short of words at the moment. Very aphex like, or maybe Autechre. Great drums and samples. The ambient pads were very errie and creppy. A perfect ambient glitch song.

-SineRider

dj-padman1 responds:

Thanks SR, shucks..Aphex.
I bet you have some fresh baked tracks over at your place, I'll visit soon ;)

I like it

I really dug this track. Very Squarepusher like eh?

I loved that light pad throughout the song. The hard bass was a nice touch too. Great drumwork throughout the song. It really contrasts well too.

Keep making more I'm loving them

-SineRider

Epitome responds:

Btw this is Glib eh? Drum and bass is my shitty side. Squareousherish? I would say th intro is. :)

Thanks for the review.

hmm me Likes

Ah, I love a good ambient song. I agree it does remind me a bit of Brian Eno. I do some ambients myself.

Well, I really liked the chill atmosphere of this. That pad sounds very nice. The piano tone was very good as well. The beat was light and worked fine.

Keep up the good work man =)

The-next-MP responds:

thanks a lot man! glad you liked it! if you have any of your ambient stuff up ill come check it out!

yeah i made the beat really quiet on purpose, thought it might add a nice touch and a bit of variation on the usual ambient style

nice

Well, some nice ambient beats here. I really digging those pad stabs. The chords are nice and progresses well. The drums are good, a couple nice drills in there, A few snaps in there too, adds a nice hip hip feel.

But really, was that annoying wistleing lead need to be in there. It its really, really annoying. It takes away from peacefulness of the song.

Remove that weird noise and you got yourself a nice song. Maybe add in a nice bass as well?

-SineRider

Spikrodd responds:

i know that... i tried to turn it down, got it right, but my comp cut off before i had a chance to save it and/or export it to mp3 format. so yeah

Very mysterious

Well for some reason, this song really reminded me of the intro to the game Max Payne. Very mysterious and creepy. I really dug that piano sound. The warping near the end sounded like the piano was being eaten up by a warp-hole.

Was very great as it is, but I must agree with Kingbastard, that there could have been a light beat and expanded a bit. Still great as it is.

Thanks for your vote, SineRider! You voted 5 for -=LJC=- Laudanum is delicious, raising its score from 3.33 to 3.75.

-SineRider

LJCoffee responds:

Thank you SineRider,

Well, I can always revisit this and add to it.

BTW - speaking of revisiting projects, I still have your Softened Gaze files and every so often I open that up and play with it - It seems so much easier to work on someone else's stuff ya know?

I'll get a few of the different versions together and zip 'em up for you. I think I have two or three rendered out and maybe another couple that I started but didn't actually render. It's a whole series of remixes of your tune - which is awesome - thank you again for sending me the files!

And thanks for the vote!!
